Biography

Kwabene is an Analyst based in Washington, DC, that specializes in real estate and economic development strategy. He has advised local governments ranging from Morro Bay, CA, to Austin, TX, on economic development strategy and has performed real estate advisory for a diverse range of clients, including real estate developers, local governments, transit authorities, universities, and a professional football team. He also contributes to HR&A’s growing international practice, leading business development and contributing to project work in Africa.

One highlight of Kwabene’s work is the implementation of the Maine Community Energy Redevelopment Program (MECERP) on behalf of the State of Maine, which provided technical assistance to seven communities across the state, including the Towns of Auburn and Hartland, which Kwabene worked with directly.

Before joining HR&A, Kwabene worked for one year as an English teacher in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In 2022, he graduated from the University of Chicago with a BA in Sociology, where he earned honors for his senior thesis focusing on American partisan identity.
