Gateway Research Park Visioning Strategy

Gateway Research Park needed strategic direction to strengthen its innovation ecosystem and ensure its mission aligns with both regional economic opportunities and community needs. HR&A is conducting comprehensive analysis of the region’s industry dynamics to identify current opportunities and emerging sectors that the park can support. We performed in-depth assessment of regional socioeconomic conditions to ensure the park’s evolution reflects community priorities and addresses local needs. This analytical foundation provides clear understanding of how Gateway can maximize its impact as both an innovation hub and community asset.

Building on this research, HR&A is developing a governance strategy to enhance Gateway’s ability to meet market demand while advancing its institutional mission. We are conducting stakeholder interviews with Gateway board members, local leaders, and key individuals at local universities to understand current governance dynamics and identify opportunities for improvement. This collaborative process ensures our governance recommendations reflect diverse perspectives while positioning Gateway Research Park to strengthen its role as a driver of innovation and economic opportunity in Greensboro.
